Introduce
Zhangfei temple, also known as zhanghuanhou temple, was built to commemorate Zhang Fei, a famous general of Shuhan in the Three Kingdoms period. It was first built in the last years of Shuhan in the Three Kingdoms period, and then repaired and expanded in successive dynasties. It has a history of more than 1700 years. The temple is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with thick shade blocking out the sun. The buildings are rugged, the sculptures are exquisite, and there are lots of gold, stone, calligraphy and paintings. The temple, mountain and water constitute a wonderful three-dimensional freehand painting. Among them, the most noteworthy are the unique articles, calligraphy and engraving, so it is known as the "three unique" reputation. Zhangfei temple is a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national 4A scenic spot, a national scenic spot, and one of the five famous scenic spots of the new Three Gorges in Chongqing.
